Well, after Ev put up the TerraServer image of the farm he grew up on, I had to have a look myself. Here is where I grew up. The big rectangle in the upper right is the public swimming pools. The light colored square in the right end of that rectangle is the “baby pool” and our house is across the street from that. It’s the big light-colored roof. You can’t tell from this angle, but it’s a huge Victorian house.
I remember cutting through the side path along the edge of the pool to get over to the park where the big baseball field is. I had no interest in the baseball field, I just went on by and up the hills into the old overgrown olive orchards to explore and play.
